UnSlabbed is an iOS app that estimates a PSA-style grade from photos of a trading card. It is not affiliated with PSA or any grading company.
What we collect
Card photos. When you run an AI Full Grade, the app sends the card photos you captured (and related grade details) to our server so we can produce a grade and look up recent sold prices. Quick Grade runs on your device and does not send your photos. Photos live on your device in History unless you delete them. We do not create an account for you.
Approximate location. When the app contacts our server, the server sees your IP address and uses it to estimate a rough location (city, region and country). We do not use GPS and do not collect your precise location.
App usage info. When you grade a card, the app sends details about how the app was used, such as: the grade result and subgrades, how many grades you have done, whether you are a new or returning user, the date you first used the app, whether photos came from the camera or your photo library, whether auto-capture or manual capture and zoom were used, and whether you regraded, shared a result or upgraded to an AI Full Grade.
Diagnostics. The app also sends technical details such as your device model, iOS version, phone language, app version, photo-quality warnings (for example blur or glare) and how long a grade took.
How we use it
We use this information to produce your grade and to understand and improve the app. It is not linked to your identity, it is not used to track you across other companies' apps or websites, and we do not sell it. The app itself does not send a device ID or advertising ID with this information. Ads are covered separately below.
Ads
UnSlabbed shows ads from Google AdMob: banner ads, and in some versions a full-screen ad after some free Quick Grades (never during an AI Full Grade). To show those ads, Google's ad software in the app sends some information to Google. According to Google, this can include your IP address (which can be used to estimate your general location), device identifiers, information about the ads you see and tap, other app interactions such as app launches, and app performance and crash information. Google uses this information to deliver ads, measure how ads perform, limit how often you see the same ad, and protect against fraud and abuse.
The app requests non-personalized ads only. Google describes these as ads based on context, such as your general location and the app you are using, rather than your past activity. UnSlabbed does not ask for permission to track you, so iOS does not give the app or Google your Apple advertising identifier (IDFA).
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, the app shows Google's consent message before any ads load, and ads load only after you make a choice. You can change your choice at any time with Privacy choices on the app's About screen (the i button on the Grade tab).
To learn more, see Google's page How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services. You can manage Google ad settings at adssettings.google.com.
Who processes photos
AI Full Grade photos are sent to a Cloudflare Worker we operate, then to xAI to generate the grade and sold-comp lookup. We do not sell your photos. We do not use them for advertising.
Purchases
Grade credits are sold as Apple In-App Purchases. Apple processes payment. We do not see your card number.
Permissions
Camera and photo library are used only to photograph or pick cards and, if you choose, to save a grade image.
